Crock Pot Orange Chicken

2 large carrots, peeled and sliced about 1/2-inch thick
2 large red or green bell peppers, cut into 1/2-inch chunks
3 cloves garlic, finely minced..
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
8 ounces orange juice concentrate
2 cups Mandarin orange segments or fresh orange segments
2 Green onions, chopped
hot cooked rice

Crock pot Orange Chicken

Beef Poor Boys (Crock Pot)

4 to 5 lb. roast
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1 C. water
1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
Hoagie Rolls
Provolone Cheese (optional)

Put all in crock pot in the morning. Cook on "low" all day.

Before making sandwiches, use forks to pull meat apart.

Optional: Hoagie Rolls can be put under broiler to toast. Provolone Cheese Slices can be added on toasted hoagie before meat.

Easy Crock Pot Spaghetti

1 1/2 lbs. Ground beef
1 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
2 tbsp. Dry onions
1/2 tsp. Garlic powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 (4 oz.) Can mushrooms
3 C. Tomato juice
2 (8 oz.) Cans tomato sauce
1 (4 oz.) Pkg. spaghetti, broken in pieces

Brown ground beef in skillet. Place in crock pot.
Add all remaining ingredients (except dry spaghetti) and stir together.
Cook on high 4 to 5 hours.
Add dry spaghetti and stir in. Cook on high for 1 hour more.

Recipe can be doubled.

Bar B Que Roast Beef (Crock Pot)

4 lb. beef
4 oz. liquid smoke
6 oz. Worcestershire sauce
1 C. ketchup
1 C. brown sugar
1 C. ketchup
2 C. juice saved from previous cooking

Cook first 4 ingredients in crock pot on low overnight.
Next day, drain juice off and save 2 cups. Chop meat (taking all fat off).
Place chopped meat along with next 3 ingredients.
Put in crock pot and cook all day on low.

SUGGESTIONS: Put drained juice in freezer so grease will raise to top.
Remove grease, discard. Also, if desired, add hot sauce or onion juice for extra flavor.

Crock Pot Chili

2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 (16 oz.) cans dark red kidney beans
1 lb. hamburger meat
3 or 4 tbsp. chili powder

Cook and drain well the hamburger meat. Mix all ingredients together in crock pot. Cook on high for at least 1 to 2 hours. Stir occasionally.

Do not drain beans before using.

BBQ Ribs IN Crock Pot

3 to 4 lbs. boneless spare ribs
1 each onion, sliced
1 (16 oz. ) smoke BBQ sauce (or your favorite BBQ Sauce)

Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper. Place ribs under broiler pan for 30 minutes to brown and remove excess fat. Put sliced onion in crock pot.

Slice ribs into serving pieces and put in crock pot. Pour in BBQ sauce.

Cover and cook on low 7 to 9 hours or high 3 to 4 hours.

Crock Pot BBQ Ribs

2 lbs. pork spare ribs
2 C. smoked barbeque sauce
1 med. onion
2 garlic cloves

Broil ribs 20 minutes each side. Slice ribs in separate bone sections.

Place in crock pot with 2 cups smoked barbecue sauce. Chop onion and mash garlic.
Add to crock pot. Stir.

Simmer low 6-8 hours or high 3 hours.

Crockpot Baked Beans

2 (#2 1/2) cans chili beans (Hunts)
1 (17 oz.) can kidney beans
1/2 lb. bacon, cut up
1 lb. lean hamburger
1 C. ketchup
1 med. onion, sautéed
1 tsp. salt

Brown bacon, meat and onions; drain. Mix together with beans and other ingredients.

Cook in crock pot for 4 to 6 hours on low.

Easy Crockpot Beans & Ham Hocks

1 or 2 C. pinto beans
2 or 3 smoked ham hocks
1 bay leaf
Water

Place beans and ham hocks in crock pot with bay leaf. Cover with water.

Cook overnight or 6 to 8 hours on high.

No need to season because ham hocks give dish flavor.

Hamburg & Potato Crockery Meal

1 1/2 lb. Hamburg
1 lg. clove garlic
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. thyme
6 med. potatoes
2 lg. onions
1 can mushroom soup (10 3/4 oz.)
1/2 c. water

Cook beef and garlic in skillet until lightly browned. Stir in pepper and thyme. Peel and slice potatoes and onions. Put 1/2 potatoes and onions into buttered crock pot.
Add browned beef and top with remaining potatoes and onions.

Mix mushroom soup with water and spread over top of contents.
Cover.
Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours.

Crock Pot Mac & Cheese

1 (18 oz.) pkg. macaroni, cooked & drained
1 tbsp. salad oil
1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
3 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 c. melted butter

Lightly grease crock pot. Toss macaroni and oil. Add all remaining ingredients.

Stir, cover and cook on low 3 to 4 hours, stirring occasionally

Crock Pot Pizza

1 1/2 lbs. hamburger
1 med. onion, chopped
2 cans Ragu chunky pizza sauce mix
2/3 pkg. rigatoni noodles
3 lbs. Mozzarella cheese
Olives, peppers, mushrooms - optional
Pepperoni

Brown hamburger and onion together and drain. Mix in sauce mix.
Make alternate layers in crock pot, starting with meat sauce, noodles, pepperoni and cheese.

Cook on low for 5 hours.

Black Bean Chicken

Ingredients
2 cans black beans
16 ounces jarred salsa
1/2 cup brown rice (uncooked)
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Directions
Place chicken breasts in slow cooker.
Pour beans, rice and salsa over chicken.
Cook on low for 8-10 hours and serve.

Cowboy Barbecue Baked Beans

2 Cans Green Beans (drained) can use frozen
1 Can Yellow (Wax) Beans (drained)
1 can Kidney beans (drained)
2 cans Baked beans (drained)
1 can Butter beans (drained)
1 can Mexican/Chili Beans -with liquid
1 pound Loose Pork Sausage (Mild) - made into small patties and browned- diameter of the kielbasa then cut pieces in 1/2
1 pound Bacon browned and cut up
1 pound Kielbasa- cut up and browned and then cut kielbasa pieces in 1/2
1/2 C. Molasses (optional)

Mix together:
1 can Tomato soup
1 6 oz. Tomato paste
1 C. Brown sugar
1-2 Medium onions -chopped
1 C. Barbecue Sauce

Broccoli Cheese Soup (Crock Pot)

1/2 C. green pepper, chopped
1/2 C. onion, chopped
2 Tbsps. butter or 2 Tbsps. margarine
1 (10 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 1/2 C. milk
1 lb Velveeta cheese, cubed
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli

Instructions
Sauté onion and green pepper in butter.

Combine all ingredients on low in crockpot for 3-4 hours.
Do not add salt.

Crockpot Beef Tips

4 lbs beef roast, sirloin tips, or stew meat, (whatever is on sale), cubed
1 Tbsp Kitchen Bouquet to darken meat (optional)
1/2 cup flour (More than this makes it too thick)
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
8 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
10.5 oz can Beef Consomme
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp tomato paste or ketchup

Serve over wide egg noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes.

Directions
Stir Kitchen Bouquet into cubed meat.
Add flour, salt, and pepper and toss meat to coat thoroughly.

Slow Cooker Sirloin Tips

2 pounds sirloin tips
1 can (approx. 10 1/2 ounces) golden cream of mushroom soup
1 envelope (about .75 to 1 ounce) brown gravy mix
1/2 C.red wine, such as cabernet or burgundy/pinot noir
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
1 Tblsp. minced dried onion, optional
1can (about 6 ounces) sliced mushrooms, optional

Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker.
Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours.

Serve with hot cooked rice, noodles, or potatoes.

Crockpot Roast Beef

1 (3 lb.) sirloin tip roast
1/2 c. flour
1 env. dry onion soup mix
1 env. brown gravy mix
2 c. ginger ale

Coat roast with flour. Place in crock pot. Add mixture of soup mix, gravy mix, remaining flour and ginger ale.
Cook on low for 8-10 hours or until roast is tender.

You can also make the gravy by adding the crock pot juices and flour mixture to a skillet over a med/high flame.

Sirloin Tip Crock Pot Roast With Gravy (Crockpot)

Ingredients
5 lbs sirloin tip roast
1 (1 ounce) package Italian salad dressing mix
2 -3 small onions, chopped
1 (10 1/2 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
2 tablespoons flour, diluted in 2
tablespoons water

Directions
Put chopped onions on the bottom of the crock pot so the meat has something to rest on.
Put meat in the crock pot and rub the salad dressing powder all over it, turning to get all sides.
Open soup can and spread all over the roast with a butter knife.
Do NOT add any liquid

Cook on high for two hours, then on low for another four, at least.

All Day Crockpot Delight

2-3 lbs. boneless chuck, cut into 1 inch cubes
1/2 C. flour
1/4 C. butter
1 onion, sliced
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
2 C. beer
1/4 C. flour

Coat beef cubes with the 1/2 cup flour. Brown in melted butter.
Drain off excess fat. In crock pot, combine browned meat with onion, salt, pepper, garlic and beer.
Cover and cook on low 5-7 hours (all day) until meat is tender. Turn control to high.

Dissolve remaining 1/4 cup flour in small amount of water. Stir into meat mixture, cook on high 30-40 minutes.

Serve with rice and salad.

All Day Macaroni & Cheese

8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
4 cups(16 ounces) shredded sharp Chedder Cheese
1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Place the cooked macaroni in crockpot that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Add the remaining ingredents, all except 1 cup of the cheese, mix well.

Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of cheese and then cover and cook on low setting for 5 to 6 hours or until the mixture is firm and golden around the edges.

Do not remove the cover or stir until it has finished cooking.

Apple Brown Betty (Crockpot)

3 lbs. cooking apples
10 slices of bread, cubed (about 4 cups)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. butter or margarine, melted

Wash apples, peel, core, cut into eighths; place in bottom on crock.
Combine bread cubes, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, sugar, butter; toss together.
Place on top of apples in crock.
Cover. Place crock into outer shell. Cook on low setting 2 to 4 hours.

Makes 6 to 8 servings

Apple Butter

This can be made in a slow cooker/Crock Pot or oven at 325 degrees for 3-4 hours.

4 qts. unsweetened applesauce
7 C. granulated sugar
1-1/3 C. brown sugar
5-1/3 Tblsp. cider vinegar
5-1/3 Tblsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. ground cloves

Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker/Crock Pot or roasting pan.
Cover and cook 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
Remove lid and continue cooking until excess liquid cooks away (turn to low as necessary) Slow
Cooker 5-8 hours, oven 3-5 hours Seal mixture in hot jars and process in a hot water bath for 10 minutes.

Apple Cranberry Compote (Crockpot)

6 cooking apples, peeled, slice
1 cup fresh cranberries
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoons grated orange peel
1/2 cups water
1/4 cups port wine
sour cream , (low fat)

Arrange apple slices and cranberries in slow cooker/Crock Pot. Sprinkle sugar over fruit. Add orange peel, water and wine.
Stir to mix ingredients.
Cover, cook on low 4-6 hours, until apples are tender.

Serve warm fruits with the juices, topped with a dab of sour cream.

Serves 6.

Apple Cranberry Crisp (Crockpot)

3 apples (Any kind - I personally like Gala)
1 cup cranberries
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup rolled oats (quick cooking)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/3 cup butter, softened

Peel, core and slice apples. Place apple slices and cranberries in crockpot
.
Mix remaining ingredients in separate bowl and sprinkle over top of apple and cranberries.
Place 4 or 5 paper towels over the top of the crockpot, place an object (I use a wooden spoon) across the top of the crockpot and set lid on top.
This allows the steam to escape.
Turn crockpot on high and cook for about 2 hours.

Apple Glazed Pork Roast (Crokpot)

4 lb. pork loin roast
6 apples
1/4 C. apple juice
3 Tblsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. ginger, ground

Rub roast with salt and pepper. Brown pork roast under broiler to remove excess fat; drain well.
Core and quarter apples.

Place apple quarters in bottom of crockpot. Place roast on top of apples.
Combine apple juice, brown sugar, and ginger.
Spoon over top surface of roast, moistening well.

Cover and cook on Low for 10-12 hours, until done.

Apple Nut Cheesecake (Crockpot)

Crust:
1 cup (scant) graham cracker crumbs
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1/4 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts

Filling:
16 ounces cream cheese
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated white sugar
2 large eggs
3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla

Topping:
1 large apple, thinly sliced (about 1 1/2 cups)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon finely chopped pecans or walnuts

Combine crust ingredients; pat into a 7-inch springform pan.

Apple Pie Coffee Cake (Crockpot)

Apple Mixture:
1 can (20 oz) apple pie filling, apple slices broken up somewhat
1/2 tsp cinnamon
3 Tblsp. brown sugar

Cake Batter:
2 small yellow cake mixes (Jiffy - 9-ounce each)
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 C. sour cream (light)
3 Tblsp. softened butter or margarine
1/2 C. evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. butter or margarine for greasing slow cooker/Crock Pot

Combine ingredients for apple mixture in a small bowl. Combine batter ingredients; mix well.
Generouslly butter the sides and bottom of a 3 1/2 quart slow cooker/Crock Pot.
